In July of 2003, Linda Kohn made her second trip to Haiti. She knew that God was calling her to do something more. There were two very powerful things that happened on that trip. One is outlined in the Lydia Miracle, and one in the Cite Soliel story.

After returning from Cite Soliel, she was sure that God had called her to serve in Haiti. A Haitian friend and she were talking about what could be done to start something new in Haiti. After visiting Cite Soliel and learning the plight of so many babies, Linda was sure that she should set something up to help the families there that cannot care for their children. It was during the discussion about Cite Soliel that her friend said, “Clearly God has called you to work here. Why do you not start your own orphanage?” That planted the seed. When Linda returned home she started the paperwork to become a 501(c)3, non profit organization.

In August, Linda founded and served with a non-profit organization where she remained until late 2009.

In 2010 Linda formed a new organization, The Grace Exchange, to further work with orphans and outreach to the community. Today, we have an orphanage with 36 children in Cayes, a church in Petitie-Riviere des Nipps which will soon operate as a school to 20 children as well, an aquaduct (canal) to bring fresh water to the community that will one day serve to water crops that will provide two daily meals for students and their families. We have plans to begin a medical/dental clinic and trade school for adults. Because teens are so at risk, we also have a boys home we are helping in PaP where we plan to bring education relevant to the needs. We continue to sponsor a village in PaP, a small school/church and orphanage. As we grow in this organization, we hope to expand our boarders even further
